Risks Associated with Customs
  1. Risk Warning:

When you place an order through Mulebuy, our system will assess potential risks associated with your items during the order and verification process. Once the goods are shipped to our warehouse, we will recommend a low-risk shipping route based on the product characteristics and our previous shipping experience.

Please note that some products may carry inherent customs risks, such as the possibility of returned packages, fines, or taxes. You should be responsible for any such risks. We appreciate your understanding.

  1. personalized declare and system declare

In order to facilitate and diversify the declaration methods, Mulebuy has launched personalized declare and system declare for users to choose.

What is Personalized Declare?

The system will automatically generate declaration based on the product attributes in the parcel, but you can make a custom declaration according to your own requirements. You can edit the declared type, quantity, unit price and total price of the declared product.

What is System Declare?

You only need to fill in the total declared amount by yourself, and the system will automatically generate declaration based on your declared amount and the product attributes in the parcel.

Tips:

Unreasonable declarations may affect customs clearance. Mulebuy considers the following situations as unreasonable declarations for reference only:

Situation 1: Item Doesn’t Match Its Price: 3 pairs of shoes, the declared amount is $1.

Situation 2: Item Doesn’t Match Its Weight: a 10KG product, the declared item is a ring.

Situation 3: The declared value is much higher than the actual value: Suppose your current total package value is about $200, and the total value of your declared goods is $1000.

  1. Risk Related to Customs Declarations:

When purchasing items through Mulebuy, please refer to the Tariff Threshold Reference and historical transportation data to make an informed decision regarding the customs declaration. (You can choose either a Personalized Declaration or System Declaration when submitting your parcel.)

  1. The probability of being inspected by customs is extremely small. Regarding the filling of the declared amount, we recommend that you declare according to the actual amount of the goods. Some customers will also choose to declare 12-15$/KG. You can refer to it. If you are really worried about customs issues, you can also choose to buy insurance (choose an insured route and try to buy Insurance Available)
  2. When submitting the package, please do not fill in the declaration in an exaggerated manner, such as 20kg of goods-declare 2 US dollars; 1kg of goods-declare 100 US dollars, etc. Customs inspection is random, so don’t worry too much.

Note:

1. The possibility of imposing customs duties depends on the frequency of customs inspections and may be affected by customs policies. For more information, please refer to the “Tariff Threshold Reference”. You will bear any customs-related risks, such as package returns, fines, taxes, etc.

2. If your goods are heavy or have a high value, the possibility of being inspected by customs may increase. It is recommended that you avoid packages that are too heavy or contain a large number of similar goods.

If you want to modify the declared amount but cannot modify it, please contact the online customer service. Thank you!
